good food doesn't make itself
sometimes i can't be bothered with it. i forget to eat
or don't want to troubled with cooking...
or nothing sounds appetizing
or i get so hungry that i grab whatever is easiest and/or closest
other times, i love it. i want to cook and try new things. i use vegetables. i reduce fat. i add new flavours.
eating well requires planning
to be prepared for the ebb and flow of my culinary fickleness.
going to the grocery store requires a few things of me:
*a list (without one i am very impulse and craving driven)
*discipline (i have the tendency to stock pile food... especially my favourite foods. i'll buy more before i run out.)
*a full tummy (hunger leads to cravings. cravings lead to astronamical grocery bills.)
tonight, i made my lunch for tomorrow.
a small portion (2oz dry) whole wheat spiral pasta tossed in mushrooms, peppers, and a little of newman's own lowfat balsamic vinaigrette and i am going to have some baked salmon along with it. pretty good, eh?
i need to eat healthy to improve my well being.
